Ciao Bella
When I studied abroad in Florence, I lived off pasta, wine, and gelato—pure bliss.
Craving an adventure, I took a solo trip to Amalfi. Big mistake. My hotel was a 25-minute walk from town, up the curviest of roads with a sidewalk the width of my size 6.5 foot. No taxis unless pre-booked weeks ahead. Cue the minor breakdown.
After a quick (ok long) call to my mom, I braved the trek. Dodging reckless drivers and lurking strangers, I finally made it—only to realize I'd have to go back down. So did I?
Duh! I ate, shopped, and soaked in Amalfi’s beauty, learning that the best adventures come from unexpected detours. My biggest nugget of wisdom: when life gives you lemons, make limoncello.
Big Shocker My life’s not always as glamorous as fearing for my life in Italy.
Fortunately, my incredible, delicious, exciting semester abroad doesn’t make up my whole personality. I’ve got lots of other fun (possibly strange) tidbits that have shaped my adventurous, lovable character.
I’m a natural ginger (yes, people ask if it’s real all the time, and no, I don’t have a soul — just kidding).
The first time I knew I was a writer was in third grade when I wrote a short story about a forbidden love during the Revolutionary War.
My *no fear* mantra began when I started skiing at age three. I would go straight down the hill, french-fry-style, no pizza in sight.
My favorite food is bread — always has been, always will be.
I’m convinced my dog Patty (the gray one) and I are soul sisters — copy & paste personality in human and dog form — plus, she smiles!
Not a fan of seafood except, strangely, clams. Ask me about the infamous Sandystone clam bakes.
